Paul had great praise for the church in Philippi for the support they gave him which enabled him to go and take the gospel to Thessalonica. The church couldn’t go themselves, but they were happy to support Paul in his gospel-spreading endeavours.

We too may not be able to go overseas for the sake of the gospel, but we can help those who do. Operation Christmas Child is our opportunity to do just that. By packing a shoebox as a Christmas gift, we can also share the message of God’s gift — Jesus, the Saviour.

So, let’s pack a shoebox — or four! — each and have them back at church by Sunday, 18 October.

Last year we managed to send 80 gospel packages, lets see if we can top that this year.
